Simon Bates

Simon is the co-founder of Touchpaper.

He began his career in large WPP brand communications agencies working on corporate accounts in London and Sydney. He spent six years directing international campaigns for blue chip technology and media organisations. 

Simon has been a media spokesman, marketing director, even Hollywood screenwriter. His passion is B2B marketing. Especially where brand, content and culture collide.


Created in 2015, we’ve worked with more than 25 clients on a range of brand, content & communication campaigns.

Our sweetspot is B2B technology, especially where it converges with consultancy and other professional services.

We’ve worked with founders and commercial directors who appreciate our commercial nous and respect for the bottom line. 

We’ve helped marketing & PR teams who value our reliability and good grace in the face of hard deadlines and ‘one more set of amends’.
