Representing the interests of members that span mobile operators, app companies, banks, brands and tech service providers around the world, MEF is one of the key voices in the mobile industry.

Touchpaper helps lead MEF’s Global Consumer Trust Initiative, a multifaceted programme of work including content marketing and thought leadership platforms. Working with some of the biggest name in the mobile business, we help MEF deliver a programme of work to remove the single largest barrier in the way of growth: a lack of trust in mobile devices, apps and services.


our approach


The first step was to identify and quantify the problem. Every year MEF commissions a global research programme to identify consumer behaviours and attitudes toward all things mobile. Touchpaper produces a full report along with supporting content and market its findings to a variety of audiences.

Next, we help lead a series of initiatives to build trust. Working with MEF’s members we have spent a number of years developing programmes to incite change. For example, in 2013 we helped MEF launch AppPrivacy,  a resource for app developers which explains the importance of privacy and security to consumers, and provides a free privacy policy generator so their apps can be more transparent about the way their apps use data.

We’re incredibly proud that the service is used by almost 10,000 developers worldwide. That’s testament to the hard work that’s gone in to marketing it and the issues behind it to that audience.

An essential part of MEF’s work is to provide its memberships with platforms to develop their thought leadership and expertise in this area. Touchpaper helps programme and run a series of annual events in San Francisco, New York and London, bringing industry together with regulators, start ups and consumers advocates to debate the issues and agree common goals.
